Changing the design is usually done by a professional who knows how to use this system and has experience with using templates on other CMS's. Alternatively there are a number of websites that offer to sell templates for specific systems.

Blogging is the most common form of a content management system and there are many types of blogs and blogging software available. Most full content management systems also include the ability to include a blog on your pages.
